Katie is the most recent skin care technician to join the BellaPelle Skin Studio team. She has excelled through the advanced training program. Here is her story!
Katie's Advanced Skin Care Training Story
After graduating from esthetics school and passing the California state board exam I was anxious to get to work. However, I soon realized that I still had a lot to learn and needed more practice to truly refine my skills. I began to look for local continuing education opportunities and this is when I found Shelley and BellaPelle!Shelley was offering a two day Beauty Bundle Certification class that would cover; facials, peels, advanced waxing techniques, tanning and tinting. This was just what I was looking for, an opportunity to gain some additional skills to add to my tool box and help set me apart in the job market.
The two day course was very comprehensive. Shelley reviewed the fundamentals of skin and skin care and then we jumped into hands on practice. One of the most valuable exercises for me was reviewing real life skin care scenarios and brainstorming on treatment options with Shelley and my fellow students. At the end of the course I felt more confident in my skills, had networked with fellow estheticians, and I also had a better idea of the type of environment I would like to work in. BellaPelle Skin Studio is a beautiful facility, and Shelley is clearly the best in the business. This is where I wanted to work.
When I approached Shelley about an opportunity with her team, she was very welcoming to me and laid out an exciting plan. I would begin as a Skin Technician I and would have the opportunity to work with clients as well as train one on one with Shelley. Every day, with every service I provide, I learn something new and gain more confidence. Shelley is a fabulous teacher and amazing mentor. I am very excited for what the future holds for me and my career as an esthetician and am so thankful to Shelly and her team for such a phenomenal opportunity!
